3-day workshop on research methodology in social sciences concludes

Guwahati, April 25 : A three-day-extensive workshop on “Research Methodology in Social Sciences with exclusive reference to Qualitative and Quantitative Research” structured by the Section of Political Science, University of Science and Technological know-how Meghalaya (USTM) in collaboration with the Bengal Institute of Political Scientific studies (BIPS), Kolkata productively concluded on Saturday.

In the inaugural session, Prof. G D Sharma, Vice Chancellor of USTM congratulated the office for having the initiative to arrange the workshop and encouraged the contributors to avail all the alternatives to very clear their queries about research methods by the workshop.

Prof. Raj Kumar Kothari, President, BIPS, gave a quick introduction of the organization. The Common Secretary of BIPS, Prof. Biswanath Chakraborty gave the opening remarks of the workshop and outlined the significance of Study Methodology in the existing state of affairs.

The inaugural session was followed by various academic sessions. Prof. C. Joshua Thomas took a session on “Introducing Investigate Methodology as a subject” and guided the participants on how to put together a great analysis proposal. Prof. Joydeep Baruah presented his lecture on “Basics of Quantitative Research” and Prof. A. C. Talukdar took a session on “How to conceive a fantastic research proposal”.
