Two blog site posts in a row about our Library getting a Safe House for our LGBTQIA+ kiddos. Why? Since we’re aggressively passionate about staying allies to our children. Also, the information is chock total of alarming illustrations where dad and mom, university districts, and communities are NOT supporting the freedom to study. The democratic flexibility to give ALL children the selection to come across publications devoid of censorship or barriers.

It boils my blood! Why does it seem like we are heading backwards with FREADom to go through?

So, I wished to give you (dear reader!) an example of our Pleasure Month reserve display screen, our listing of Fiction textbooks, and how we advertise it to our kiddos. Most of this post is copied from our Daring College Library Site, Instagram posts, &

One of my most revered Library friends, Laura C. Davies (Adore her!) who I met when I was keynoting the ASTE Tech Conference in Anchorage Alaska had this to say on my Instagram write-up:

and for the 1st time in my career I essentially wondered if somebody
would complain about my choice. I am likely to keep on bringing new
guides into my classroom because pupils who want books that encourage
inclusion know where by they can locate them.”
