HAZU Announces Winners of Prestige Sciences and Arts Awards

April 20, 2022 – The Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU) has introduced its status award winners for 2021, primarily based on a conclusion from 30 March. The awards will historically be introduced on HAZU Working day, on 29 April.

24Sata recaps the winners. For the subject of social sciences, the award goes to Dr. sc. Katarina Horvat for the book “Home servants in Zagreb 1880-1914”. (Srednja Europa d.o.o., Zagreb, 2021).

Prof. dr. sc. Marcela Hanzer has won the Mathematical, Physical, and Chemical Sciences Award for outstanding the latest scientific contributions in the principle of representations of traditional P-adic groups and the principle of automorphic types and the Langlands method, printed in a collection of 6 papers from 2018 to 2021 in prestigious global journals.

For the area of organic sciences, the award was offered to Dr. sc. Petra Bajo for scientific exploration on paleoclimatic modifications by way of the previous centered on the geochemical qualities of speleothems, posted in 24 scientific papers in the past 5 a long time, and for getting the job of Earth’s orbital parameters on the growth and period of transitions involving colder and hotter periods in the Pleistocene, published in the Journal of Science in 2020.

In the subject of literature, the award went to Ivan Lovrenović for the book “Putovi su, snovi li su” published by Fraktura in 2019.

In the field of great arts, the award was supplied to Milan Bešlić for authoring exhibitions and advertising and marketing the perform of art of academician Edo Murtić on the 100^th anniversary of his start.

In the fields of music art and musicology, prof. artwork. Mladen Tarbuk was awarded for the composition Sinfonia, which premiered on April 27, 2017, as component of the New music Biennale, at the live performance of the HRT Symphony Orchestra, performed by Pierre-André Valade.

Assoc. prof. dr. sc. Jonatan Lerga is the winner in the discipline of technological sciences for the function “Highly developed Digital Signal Processing and Machine Mastering”, a scientific device with 28 papers, 13 of which have been revealed in Q1 journals, and 11 in Q2 journals, and Dr. sc. The option for HAZU awards for the best scientific and artistic achievements in 2021 was created by the Presidency of the Academy at a session on March 30, and the winners will be introduced as component of the HAZU Day celebrations on April 29.
