The late Ambassador Walter H. Annenberg received Penn’s Alumni Award of Advantage in 1991. He and his wife, the late Honorable Leonore Annenberg, were both emeritus trustees of the College. The Annenbergs endowed several chairs in Penn Arts & Sciences and made many generous contributions to the College. They also endowed the Annenberg College for Communication at the College of Pennsylvania in 1958.
