Names in the Spotlight: Racine’s Munro nominated for NCAA ‘Woman of the Year’ | College

For 32 yrs, the Female of the Calendar year software has honored the academic achievements, athletics excellence, local community company and leadership of remarkable female university athletes, in accordance to a press release.

Munro, a Racine native who was a golfing standout at The Prairie Faculty, had an spectacular season on the class for the Firebirds this earlier year, the launch stated.

The senior was named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Great Lakes Region Crew for the 2nd straight year with an 18-hole ordinary of 76.54, and was also named to the WGCA 2021-22 All-American Students listing.

Munro experienced 6 best-five specific finishes this season and was named the Meeting of Illinois and Wisconsin Co-Golfer of the Week on Sept. 14.

“The 2022 NCAA Lady of the Year nomination is undoubtedly a nicely-deserved honor for Kate,” Carthage women’s golf coach Brandy Johnston explained in the launch. “Her impression on our golfing system about four yrs just cannot be overstated.
